Since its introduction to the public in 1953 at the Motorama exhibit in New York City, the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has enjoyed a strong following among car lovers.  In the early 1950’s General Motors entrusted lead stylist Harley Earl to develop something fresh for the sports car scene.  Their support combined with his vision and leadership of his team resulted in the creation a sports car that car enthusiasts are still enthusiastic about today.

The Corvette Convertible was dubbed one of the “dream cars” of the 1950’s.  Under the direction of Harley Earl, Corvette Convertibles were introduced as a car designed with high style as well as high performance in mind.  The two seat car started out as a sporty stylish car for motorist who wanted more from a car than just basic transportation, and it has maintained that reputation ever since.

Generations of Corvette Convertibles have seen many improvements in the mechanics and the overall design of the car.  The one thing that hasn’t changed is the loyal following the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has received over the years.  Countless drivers have taken to the road in this sleek sporty car when they wanted to sit back and enjoy the ride.
